What is the DenerveX procedure?

This is a minimally invasive (keyhole surgery) procedure to cauterise and scrape the nerve supply to the facet joints. It is indicated when back pain is coming from your facet joints at the back of your spine.

It has been around for a couple of years in the UK, so the long term outcomes are not yet available. However in the short term, the procedure appears to be as reliable as the standard rhizolysis procedure using heated-tip needles, although DenerveX does involve having a full general anaesthetic and is done through a small incision.
